We have World Markets here in CA too. I go there during the holidays to buy stocking stuffers. They offer loads of unusual toys, jewelery, puzzles and international candies that are fun for kids.
It's a great place to buy wine, kitchen gadgets, and seasonal housewares. Fun stuff!

Char I also have a gift basket company with a friend of mine. We make custom gift baskets to fit any occasion. We do alot of baskets for clients of realtors as well. The fun part is shrink wrapping them and I love making the bows. I don't actually know how I fit that in, but sometimes I'm up late at night doing that also.

Debbief - I know I just love the schrink wrap too, but better than that I love the shrink wrap bags. You just set the basket in it, tie, and shrink. I don't have a full on business yet, just working my way up. I would like to start a full on business when I get back there. I hope there is a market for it.
Well, have fun shrinking away.
Char

World Market
As a baby boomer, I appreciate the older chewing gum and candies...
i.e. Teabury, Clove, etc. I buy some and put in gifts I send back home to upstate central NY.

Char I love the bags also. I think you will find a market for it here. I look forward to meeting you and seeing your baskets :-)
Take Care,
Debbie

I hate Pier 1, I think they are the largest pureyors of overpriced junk eer. World Market has a nicer quality of things. They also have chocolate from all over the world.
