Can anyone tell me which chain is best for working ones way up to management in the Triangle area?

I am in Florida and Publix is number one for a career starting at entry level and getting into management. Assistant Department, Department, Assistant Store Manager...

I've never seen a Harris Teeter or Kroger or Food Lion before, maybe there are even more grocery chains.

(I know the state of economy, I guess what I'm asking is prior to recession, historically the better chain to start working.)

Thank you

I would say Harris Teeter is our equivalent of Publix from the shopping/store environment point of view, so maybe also from management?

If Wegmans ever moves here, that would be the best. I think it's been rated one of the best places to work for many, many years.

Harris Teeter is definitely one of the better stores in the Raleigh area. That, Whole Foods and Fresh Market (oh, and Trader Joes) are all good, I'm sure. I've heard bad things about Food Lion though. But, I'd say Harris Teeter is probably the equivilent to Publix, or maybe one step up.

Well thank you for letting me know that it is Harris Teeter. There are around 30 stores in the Triangle, so that is good news.
