Interesting. I wonder if this has been successful elsewhere. I imagine enforcement could be an issue with that technique. Lots of visitors to the NYC Metro who may disregard a toll bill sent to their home somewhere 500 miles away. Not to mention many visitors to the area drive rental cars during their visits, so I imagine a bill mailed based on the License plate # would go to the rental agency?

Sounds like a neat concept, but I can't imagine the admistrative issues that are involved!

rockplanet is on a distinguished road
It's time we face the inevitable. We all have come to love the rumble of trucks on highways and now most of us can't sleep with out it. BUILD I540 SO WE CAN GET SOME SLEEP!! The roar of truck tires thundering down the road is so much better than jumping sheep! But PLEASE!!!!!! Post a MAP that shows where this confination of asphalt and concrete WILL GO and get on with the bulldozers. Maybe I can get a few trees out of the way in my yard to help make the progress go faster.
Roll on the cannon of progress - The Highway!!!!!

Ooh-boy I think I had too much Hamlet tonight. ;-)

Don't build roads that encourage more sprawl.

Build rail systems and feeder bus lines.
