I love Nana's, especially for an anniversary, it is small, intimate and the food is fabulous!

If you like French, Bonne Soirre on West Franklin is a very small intimate experience and the service was outstanding. It is pricey but outstanding french food.

My husband and I love Savoy - the atomosphere is very nice and the food is exceptional.

Fins downtown is also excellent as are Second Empire and Sullivan's.

Peddler has very good steak but the atmosphere for a special celebration isn't as romantic as the other suggestions.

Durham has some wonderful options as well - we recently went to Revolution which is about a block up from the Durham Performing Arts Center and were impressed. It is a younger "hip" scene and very good food.

Congratulations!

So what did you decide? Where is the lucky Mrs. Streamer dining this evening?

Most of these are excellent suggestions. I 2nd Four Square, excellent! It's an old house, nice atmosphere. Also, a personal favorite of mine is Parizade in Durham. If you go there, be sure to have them fix you a gift box of their chocolates to give to you wife to take home - if she likes chocolates. If you want a special meal, off menu, called a couple of days ahead and ask George, the owner to help you surprise your wife by doing this. i imagine you'd want to go this wkend?
Congrats and many more!

We had to postpone until this Friday because of the schedules of the aforementioned teenagers.

We are down to Capitol City Chop House, Bin 54, 18 Seaboard, and Second Empire. We'd like the ambience of Second Empire, the friendly people at 18 Seaboard, the reputation of Bin 54, and the beef cuts at CC Chophouse.

Thanks to all who have taken the time to respond. They were all thoughtful and insightful as to what we're looking for. I'll let y'all know where we go and post a review

Thanks Again,
Streamer1212
