Relocating...Looking for advice on New Housing
Relocating from PA and I'm looking at new housing that's family-oriented (pool, cabana, tot-lots/playgrounds) since we have kids that are 3 1/2 and 8 months. My wife and I have visited the area a couple of times and have decided on the following communities: Villages of Rolesville, Providence, Churchill and Edgewater. Anyone have any information (pluses/minuses) on these communites as well as day cares, schools, shopping, traffic, etc... I've taken a job off of Capital Blvd over by the Triangle Town Mall and staying in the NE of Raleigh seems best. But how would the commute be if we lived in the Garner area? Any help would be gretaly appreciated.
Thanks!

With so many other options...Garner would be horrid to Triangle Towne honestly.
You have young children.....shorten the commute and spend the extra time with them.

If it were me, I would go with the village of rolesville. It would be very convenient to triangle town center area (15 minutes), and rolesville has a great park that they are adding on to (my kids love it!). It is definitely that up and coming town, plus you are still within 10 minutes of wake forest (near heritage).
I have been out the community with clients and I liked it quite a bit. Great schools, nice town, and short commute. The other developments definitely put you in a less desireable location based on commute, and they don't have that small town feel (which I like)
Hope this helps

I have to agree--I live in Garner, and loathe going to Triangle Towne, because I hate with an intense, burning, undying passion, Capital Boulevard. Even if you loved the Garner area (which seems unlikely-its really not that great at all), you should avoid it at all costs, because the commute would be truly unbearable

Daycares
Ok...so it seems best to stay north / north east of the city with regards to my job. Anyone have any information on daycares?
Thanks!
