Default Inquiring about Downing Creek Community Chapel Hill (Durham County)

Does anyone have any feelings/information/input on the Downing Creek Community in Chapel Hill (Durham County)? Is it a nice place to live? Are people friendly? Are the homes as nice on the inside as they look on the outside? Thanks!

If living in the town of Chapel Hill is important to you, you should confirm that this development is in fact inside the city boundaries. Looking at a map, I'm doubtful it is, despite the Chapel Hill mailing address. I have a friend who lives right near there off NC54, and he thought he lived in Chapel Hill. He went to vote Tuesday and was surprised when he wasn't given the Chapel Hill municipal ballot he expected - turned out his mailing address said Chapel Hill but wasn't actually in it. Yeah, he should have known.

We have friends who live there and I'd say yes to all of your questions. But while it is a Chapel Hill address, it is in Durham county so if access to Chapel Hill public schools is an issue for you this would preclude Downing Creek.

Thank you both! We are not really concerned with being in Chapel Hill technically, even though it would be better for schools and resale and such. We really just want to know if the homes are good quality (particularly the new renos ....Bradford Place I believe they are called), and if the neighborhood is friendly, etc. Thanks again....
