Default New to the area

I can't put my finger on it yet, but my family and I love it here in NC. Being new to the area what are some good restaurants to take my wife on a date? What are some MUST see and do here in the Raleigh area. eg kid stuff and adult stuff?

We live in Heritage lake in Wake Forest and love it. We don't get to far outside of WF but need to start adventuring out.

Any input would be great.

I like 3D movies at IMAX in Raleigh: Wachovia IMAX Theatre at Marbles Kids Museum

I recommend the Durham Museum of Science and Life: Explore, Connect, Learn, Share | North Carolina Museum of Life and Science
Some of their exhibits seem old, but the kids love them, and there are live wild animals outside (including bears, wolves, and lemurs).

NC Museum of Natural Sciences in Raleigh is fun, too: http://naturalsciences.org/

The Pit in downtown Raleigh has fantastic barbecue, with a very nice atmosphere.
