Default Hedingham Townhomes?

I'm considering renting for 6 months since I'll have no clue whatsoever as to where I am or trying to go to. Hedingham Townhomes will be very ,close to my husband's new job and they have 6 month rentals.

Any info on these? Family friendly or mostly singles? What elementary school could my kids go to, Any good family activities nearby? Bowling, movies, any lakes near by?

Grocery store's, good bar , I have 5 weeks to get all this together after waiting 16 months to sell my house.

I'm coming down in 2 weeks, Any other rental places we should check out in that area?

Hedingham is a large community. It has a golf course, tennis, pool and playground area. The elementary school is River Bend. I believe you will find it very family oriented. I do not think it has any large lakes near by, Jordan Lake and Falls Lake are our 2 largest in or near Wake County.

There are other places that do short term rentals. Moderator cut: realtor soliciting.
Hope this helps.

I just sold a client of mine a single family home in Hedingham. There are two elementary schools that serve Hedingham. River Bend and Wilburn. River Bend is a year round. You can opt out now if you wish. Don't know about Wilburn. For shopping there is a walmart around the corner on New Bern. The two closest malls are Crabtree Valley and Triangle town. You will have lots of shopping on New Bern Ave. or Capital Blvd. Like Linda said, it is a Golf Community with playground, pool, fitness center and walking trails. There is also a nice pond in the center of the neighborhood.

Sounds like 2 thumbs up for Hedingham townhomes. Great. I wasn't aware they also have single family homes. Do you know if they rent out the single family house also? Maybe rent with option to buy?

Thanks again,

I had some friends who lived in a townhome there, it was right behind the lake. They loved the area, it was always so peaceful & quiet. Great area.

I know Hedingham started being developed about 20 years ago. You could possibly find a single family home to rent with option to purchase. You'd be more apt to find this option in Hedingham more so than many other subdivisions because of the number of homes in it. Also these homes were very reasonably priced in the late 80's and might be an investment that someone is willing to do some special financing on.

I am just going to throw this out there to give the flip side! I had friends who moved into another friends house in hedingham for a temporary move. The moved to hedingham from wakefield and they really really did not like it. They had very loud neighbors, and seemed to have a number of rental properties around them. They didn't love the location of it either. Now, that could be simply because they were used to the wakefield area, I don't know.

Anyhow, that was their experience.

Leigh

HHMMM, any other area's near Crabtree that I can rent for 6 months? has to be 3/2. I'm afraid to commit to renting for a year. What about a house with option to buy?
