Looking for info: Southpoint Crossing Apartments in Durham (apartment complex, closing)

Hey folks,

I wanted to see if anybody could offer up any feedback or info about Southpoint Crossing Apartments in Durham? It seems pretty cool but the Apartments.com reviews seem fairly negative, not to mention a lot of the reviews are from a few years ago. I'm hoping things have improved somewhat and that a lot of the mentioned problems were sorted in the last couple of years?

I did do a search on these forums and found some recent posts that shed a more positive light on the place, but I wanted to create it's own thread to see if anyone else wanted to add anything.

Our family enjoyed a brief stay at Southpoint Crossing (corporate apartment) in late 2007 prior to closing on our house. We really enjoyed the location and the complex itself. We took nightly walks on the ATT, and we could walk to the grocery store, Blockbuster, etc.

The complex itself seemed well maintained, and we ran into no problems with neighbors, trash, vehicles, etc. We also liked the layout of the 2-bedroom apartment we were in.

Although we were there for only a brief time, we enjoyed the apartment complex. Good luck!
