We will be hiring a part-time Children's Pastor/Director for our non-denominational church in Raleigh.

We have posted on churchstaffing.com but because it is part-time the best candidates will probably be local.

Any suggestions on where to post this position or get the word out?

I would think that a lot of churches would be hesitant to post a position at another church.

What about emailing someone with the Divinity School at Campbell? Depending on what part of Raleigh the church is in, it might not be too bad of drive for a student in Buies Creek.

There are bound to be some sorts of email lists, etc for that profession. Check with the colleges that offer Religious Education majors and contact the dept heads.
Post on Craigslist (it can't hurt).
Put an ad in the paper.
Does your denomination have a "magazine" or newsletter for the region?
Put up signs in the Christian bookstores such as Sign of the Fish, etc. Even if you're non-denominational, the kind of person who shops in that kind of bookstore would be more interested in church employment than most folks.

Basically, just think where the sort of person you are looking for is likely to hang out and how to reach them.

Please post on craigslist in the Raleigh, Job's Offered, Education section. I guarantee you will be highly successful in less than a week. Let us know!

If you are not, DM me and I will share a couple of great resumes I have that would be applicable for you.
