Arrow I have researched all I can...now I need your help!!!!

There are so many different areas to find information on schools in Wake County - and I have exhausted every resource possible. However, I always come back to the opinons of this forum because I value what you have to say!

Anyhow, any opinons/stories/suggestions ETC> on the following schools AND neighborhoods they are in will be greatly appreciated!!!!!!!:

Hilburn Drive Elementary
Kingswood Elementary
North Ridge Elementary
Wildwood Forest Elementary
Stough Elementary
Forest Pines Elementary

Thank You so much!!!!

I can't help, as I must use a different perspective than most. I look at the high school in terms of buying a house...not elementary. IMO, most elementary schools are just fine, it's the high schools that concern me. If the feeder high school is excelling...it just makes sense to *me that the elementary/middle that feeds into it are doing just fine as well. If the elementary school is feeding into a high school that has academic as well as other issues (drugs, violence etc) I wouldn't put my child there no matter what. So, I use the high school to gauge buying a home if I plan to be there for years to come.

Good luck with your research! I've also heard (here and from other locals) that Wake redistricts so often...you can't be guarenteed that the elementary that your house is currently districted to attend, will be the one for next year, or the following. I wouldn't like that, my kids wouldn't like that, so Wake has been taken off our list of possibilities.
