Which was also the first in the state! I remember when I worked there almost seven years ago many thought the store wouldn't last. Well it's still there and always busy when I go in.

I have only been to one "Rack" and went there hoping for something like a really good Nordstrom's sale rack. All I found was some way cheaper looking clothes than I usually find at Nordstrom's, so I left very disappointed. Are all of them like that...not real Nordstrom's brands?

LOL, EFland. When my mom first saw our address she thought it was a fairy's address b/c at first glance it looks like Elfland and our street address is kind of whimsical too.

Back on subject, I adore The Rack and am so excited to be getting one here in the Triangle. The clothes come from Nordstrom's and Nordstrom's website so I'm not quite sure where the "cheaper looking clothes" were coming from. Nordstrom's does have a small junior's department which is definitely cheaper than most of their clothes. Maybe you saw some of those at the Rack? I don't know but I'm mostly looking forward to checking out the shoes and purses. Norstrom's always has fabulous shoes!

oh, THAT'S what's going in there. we just walked by tonight and saw them doing some sort of construction inside. i was figuring it was just the next seasonal store getting ready to open.

anyway, as has been mentioned, the rack is GREAT for some big guy shoes at decent prices. looking forward to this one.

Mike
