I decided to take a Thanksgiving eve stroll through the new City Plaza on Fayetteville Street in Downtown Raleigh tonight. I didn't have my tripod so taking night shots was a challenge, but here are a few quick pictures of the general area. Overall I think it looks very nice. I look forward to checking it out in more detail soon. I think this area has huge potential to be a focal point of downtown activity in the future.

Those are really great pics. It doesn't even look like the Raleigh I grew up in.
But where are all the people? It's weirdly deserted....

I don't know if you're trying to imply something there, but anyways...

Given that it's cool out, was probably around 9pm when these pics were taken, and the night before Thanksgiving... most people are indoors with their families, traveling, sleeping, etc etc.

Also downtown nightlife really only is Thursday - Saturday.

I am guessing it was a pretty dead night downtown overall. Most people were traveling or cooking. Plus, except for KK and the two lunch places, there is not where to eat/drink directly ON the plaza, so only a place to walk through to get someone else at night, unless there is an event. Would be busier during the day, with people mingling, when the shops there are open.

I work right there in the BB&T building, so it's been really exciting to watch this come together. Great pics
