that can be a real problem and is one of the downsides to driving at night here. However when on the deck under a thousand stars it is a blessing.

Our complex has high pressure sodium halide street lights set upon tall poles like NYC.

Definitely helps deter crime.

Crime is the least think we worry about in our development. We are far enough out and the layout of the neigborhood is not conducive to criminals getting in and out. It is as quiet as the moon probably is and with the stars priceless.

There is a gorgeous 34,000sf clubhouse, walking trails etc. You'd be less than 10 min drive from the new Cary library.
I have visited the Amberly community, specifically the townhouses. I am thinking that the 55 plus Del Webb community area might be a better fit for me. Is it realistic to expect to buy new for low 200's ?

New townhomes are listed at about $211,000, so, yes, it is realistic.

Detached homes start at about $231,900.

Mikejaquish,

Thank you for the reply. The townhouse's I originally looked at were the KB ones, are there Delwebb ones as well? Though I think an unattached is more to my thinking now. You say start at 231,900 is that reasonably equipped so to speak or do you really need to lots of extras like with the KB units?

George

George,

Yes, Pulte also builds townhomes, with a current unit listed at $211,900.

There is a $225,000 resale townhome currently listed.

These units are reasonably equipped, although there are options available.
I do not think your upgrade bill would be as high as at KB.
