NO snow is my expectations. Saw a snow blower on CL the other day. May be the engine would work on my grandson's mini-bike?
Is winter over yet?

Didn't "they" say we're in for a bad winter? Maybe it's just for the NE.

Last year we had a pretty good showing of snow for this area. And in my experience (with weather both in the north and in NC) I have found that as soon as the weatherman has us all expecting a warmer or colder than normal winter, we see the opposite.

Do you folks really call this (what we have now) a winter? About 75% of the country would call the weather here over the past two weeks, spring! This is not winter, it can't be!

You're right, it's not winter! It's fall. Temperatures like spring, but the trees have lost their leaves.
When I moved from Michigan to California as a first grader, my brother and I resisted wearing jackets and laughed at the natives for being cold. I'm sure we were arrogant and annoying.

I'd rather have snow (it's pretty) than the heavy rains we often get in January. And the entire city closes down.

No, no one calls this winter. Winter in NC is in January and February.
But since we already got sleet last night, my money is on more weather this winter.

The "Wow what a mild winter" posts last until about late Jan when the entire Triangle is shut down for 3" of snow. It's almost always this mild at the end of November. I've had more Thanksgivings in shirt sleeves then jackets. Winter here hits after the new year.
