We're thinking of heading up north before our house sells. We will only take the neccessities but in addition, we need to take the kids bikes. There would be three bikes. My husband is not comfortable driving that far with the bikes on the bike rack of the van. I dont have a hitch on my van so I guess hooking up a uhaul is out. Any other suggestions?

What type of bike rack is her uncomforatble with? The back racks are not as secure. But a roof rack should be fine. We had Rhode Gear. I'm not sure what is available to you locally.

A hitch on the back of your van might be a good investment if you think your family is going to be doing a lot of cycling. We just had a hitch put on and my husband will be driving with our bikes.

I doubt we will ever use the hitch after this but I guess I should look into it. Do you know how much you paid?????
