I have some books & textbooks (most are barely used) that I'd like to sell all at once (as opposed to on ebay, half.com, etc.). Can anyone recommend a local used bookstore that offers good buy-back prices (I paid $100+ for some of the textbooks!).

Thanks-

try cash4books.net - they will pay postage if they accept your titles...they mostly want textbooks and business-related books - novels not so much.

McKay's on Capital will buy some textbooks - they'll let you know what they will and won't take when you drop off a batch for review.

The other thing to try is powells.com

they will buy your books, pay via paypal (or credit you an amt) and they pay media mail shipping...You type in an ISBN and they'll tell you how much they'll give you for it. oddly, they paid me more for older textbooks than newer ones...esp. statistics, and such which I was *more* than happy to unload. <grin>

I've used both a few times trying to trim down our accumulation of books.
