I have been going to Dr. Patel, after seeing good postings about him on this board and needing a dentist that is fairly close to where I live. He is very gentle and fair. His staff is amazing! The prices are fair too. He is honest and not out to rip anyone off. The other Dentists you mentioned I have not been to.
We have been seeing Dr. Patel also and have been very pleased with him and his staff. My only complaint is that he does not do root canals...he will send you to an endodontist. Our insurance, BCBS, only has one endodontist "in network" in the whole area, and its not one of Dr. Patel's recommended endodontists.
Stay away from University dentistry, they do not do a very good job, and if you have kids they don't even let you go back with them. Plus the front desk people are very rude, they act like they'd rather you not go there, and they screwed up my appointments on several occasions. I go to one in Holly Springs (I think it's called Holly Springs Family Dentistry), they are great although it's difficult to get an appointment.
I would stay away from University too. I would also stay away from Spelios & Assoc. Our dental insurance only seemed to cover those 2 in the area and it was very dissapointed w/ them both.
On your list, I've heard good things about Salzman. Patel seems like a good bet since he seems to be well liked on this forum.
