Default Half-Priced Books

Can anyone share where there is a Half Priced Books, or resale bookstore (thinking newer chain type resale and not older independents) that buys and sells books, audio, etc. I love that store in my hometown and I need to know if there is a similar store there. Any and all suggestions welcomed.

I think there is a place on Harrison near the Sam's club that does discounted used books and you can also trade your used books in for other books.

Not sure if this will help but I just LOVE http://www.paperbackswap.com

It started as just paperbacks but now is hard covers and audio books as well. You basically swap a book for a credit for a free book. You pay only for shipping on the books you ship to others (books coming to you have the shipping paid for by the shipper).

Initially, you have to post 9 books to get 3 credits but after that its one for one. I'm SO hooked and have been yard saleing for books for the swap.

Lauren

Have you checked out half.com? Sounds like you are looking for an actual store and not an online merchant but it is worth a look.

.... Thanks for your info. I've checked out Half.com, I utilize Amazon, but the store I am looking for is like a Amazon for books/Cd's/Audio...and it is owned by Borders/Waldenbooks. It is just like a Borders store but they do resale so there are hard to finds as well as new books and new magazine issues being resold. I dont think they have any stores outside of the Midwest. I may check and see if they have competitors and try and get a name. I am so used to buying ALL of my books and current mags there (new mag. issues as long as they are subscriptions w/ no cover price are only 1.00) and there selection is like Amazon's. We only have 2 here in Indy, so let me do some research. I am sure there has got to be something similar. Thanks again for your help.
