I know the HT and most grocery stores are closed for New Years. Any tips on anything that is open?

Really? Most places have always been open on New Years day around here. I use to work in retail and we were always open. I would imagine maybe only a few small businesses and banks would be closed. Most just open later.

Well, I guess it's closed: Harris Teeter - Express Lane

In MA most of the supermarkets were open and closed at 6PM. As a cashier I liked the holiday pay!

I believe the express lane is the feature where you call ahead and pick up your groceries....I would guess you could go around the store and shop yourself today...

I know Harris Teeter is open cause I've already been there this morning. And the Lowes Foods across the street was clearly open too.
