Thank you RaleighLass. I'm also from the UK.

I think I need to do alot of research, because there's a mountain of stuff that I haven't got a clue about. It's been a little stressful trying to understand it all .

I don't have any questions at the moment until I can start to make sense of all the different terminologies and abbreviations . However, reading through the many threads on the subject has been quite informative at least the ones that have been simply explained .

Thanks again and I'll pm you at some point.

You're welcome! You can't go wrong in either Charlotte or Raleigh, both are great places to live. i guess the first thing is to find a job and then worry about the schools. Again, don't let all the info and drama throw you off...we are still well off here no matter how far our kids travel to school 100 people per day move to Wake County so it must have something others places don't have!

100 peope per day move to Wake County ? Sounds like a lot of people.

Charlotte sounds more appealing that the Triangle Area to tell you the truth. I've chosen The Triangle Area purely because it sounds like there might be more job opportunities for me there. I plan on visiting both areas though, so we'll see .

Thanks again. This website explains everything very clearly. I'll DM you if I have further questions .
