Hi! My daughter wants her sweet 16 in a farm venue in May, 2010. We already booked one farm place in Smithfield for about $400 it's a nice place, but they have portable bathrooms only and alcohol it's not allowed. Now, I regret that I didn't take more time for looking; anyway I can cancel for just a fee of $50. So, I want to know if there is any nice farm venue in Johnston or Wake County, but our budget it's kind of limited. We need to seat about 100 people and it have to be a farm/barn theme. Any suggestions Please. Thanks.

just wondering why there is a concern about no alcohol at a 16 year old birthday party?

I am missing something here. How many 16 YOFs drink alcohol? I know in my youth it was a goal to ply young ladies with booze (think Southern Comfort, aka, OPR), but still, aren't parents supposed to keep an image? I think, even in this State, it is illegal to supply underage people with alcohol.
"sounds like a party >I< want to attend."

WOW!! Seriously Crash, do you think the poster intends to supply thier 16 year old with alcohol?? Read btw the lines people, the girl is 16 yes but I am sure since this is going to be a large party that ADULT parents of this girls friends will be present at teh party and they can drink alcohol. Although some may say that there is no need for adults to drink in front of the kids, it is every person's right to have a party in the fashjion they want as long as they do not supply to minors which I seriously doubt was the intent of teh poster.

You should look into the Shaddy Wagan Farm which is near Apex and very close to Jordan Lake. I went there for a wedding and they had indoor bathrooms and served beer and wine. Good Luck!

Well, we are having 30 teens and 52 adults, of course I won't serve alcohol to the kids, but I want the adults to have wine at the dinner and champagne at the toast...as a matter of fact, adults and teens will have dinner in separate spaces...but, I guess you don't want every single detail of the party...for those who reply with suggestions thanks a lot.

Wow, I thought "sweet 16" parties like this were only on MTV. IMO, having a bunch of teens around while a bunch of adults are drinking is irresponsible and no way will you keep all that booze away from teens. But as long as no one drives home after drinking, its your party so have fun.
