Are there any discount movie theaters in the Triangle area besides Carmike Blue Ridge in Raleigh?

Have any of you ever been to Carmike Blue Ridge? I read a few unsavory reviews on a ratings website but the positive reviews far outnumbered them.

They're the only one I know of. I have been in the daytime and it's fine. At night, especially weekend nights, and depending on what's showing (i.e., if there are action flicks or something violent) there has been known to be an unsavory crowd gathering. I love taking an afternoon off work once in awhile and going to a matinee, where I'm often practically the only one in the theatre, though.

Blue Ridge is not a great theater in terms of it's appearance and comfort but for $1.50 it's a decent deal.

We go to Blue Ridge frequently. I think it's fine. I've never found it to be "unsavory".

Thanks for your answers. I'm glad to hear that none of you have had unsavory experiences there. Even though I don't know you all, I trust your answers much more than the 'random' reviews that I read on the website I looked at earlier.

Step on down to Smithfield to the Howell Theater for $2.50 and in a few weeks a new oyster bar right next door...

My family and I enjoy going to the Carmike Blue Ridge for the $1.50 movies. You gotta go when they're listed, though, because the flicks don't stay long.

I haven't gone in many years but about 3 years ago, my daughter's car was broken into in the parking lot. She called the cops and they told her that at least one car is broken into every Saturday night! She asked them if that is true, why aren't you out here patroling every Saturday night?!! I don't know WHERE she gets her big mouth from! Like I said, this was 3 years ago so hopefully that has been stopped.
