Housing hunting and found one cute house in Berkshire Downs West. By looking at the map is outside 540! Is it too far from shopping/grocery/coffee shop and everything? How's the driving to Crabtree Valley Mall (thinking about doing business there). Is it nice and safe and kids-friendly (we have a 9-month-old). How're the schools?
Same questions to Cardinal Grove and Beacon Village.
Our budget is very tight (140K) and in need a sfh. Commute is not that important coz the mall business is going to be seasonal. We stay home most of the time (artist). Just hoping everything is good for the baby. ^o^
Any suggestions appreciated!

Berkshire is pretty close to Triangel Town Center Mall so shopping, starbucks, Target ect. are just down the road. I would expect a trip to Crabtree to take at around 25-35 minutes. Driving down Capital can be a bit of a pain. Sorry, don't know anything about the schools.
