Apologies to the OP for slightly off topic....T|K, I should probably try to get out there some day. I'd like to see if she's interested in cars...

I also have an LMB M5, with black interior. The 2-tone blue interior is a little "strange" looking, but some folks like it. Definitely gotten OT now!!

Yes, there is a local BMWCCA chapter in the area:

Performance Chassis (Mark Coooper) is the ONLY place I would take my car for any suspension issues.

Since we're showing pics, I can't miss an opportunity to show this from our last outing at VIR North:

yeeeehaaa!

I have a 2006 e90 325i that I recently purchased. It's still under the 4yr/50K mile warranty, but I needed an alignment (not covered under the free maintenance) to resolve a steering issue. I took it to MPowered yesterday and I was in and out in about an hour. Their personnel couldn't have been more helpful and professional and they really knew what they were talking about. Their price was very reasonable, too ($100 vs $159 at the $tealership). They also pointed out that the bearings where the steering column meet the rack is beginning to wear out (that will be fixed by the $stealership under the free maintenance).

Their waiting area is kind of small, but they have a big HDTV with an XBox 360 (in case you get bored) and their sodas and snacks are complimentary.

They are in Cary just south of Old Apex Road (off of Cary Parkway). Very convenient location and excellent work.

IF you ever need alignment done on a BMW you can go to Colonial Tire centers. This weekend I needed some alignment work done on 2007 550i, but all the places that were recommended here were all closed! If you own a business, shouldnt you be open when its convenient for the CUSTOMERS (at least some hours on Saturdays)? Anyway got alignment done for $89.99 plus tax whereas the dealership would have been $149.99+.

I'll bet that the employees and owners of the BMW shops recommended spend their Saturdays as "track days".

Better late than never I guess, but another thumbs-up for //MPowered, Jordan and his crew if you don't mind driving all the way to the other side of Cary.

Also, another place in the 27616 vicinity is Pinnacle Automotive. They're bimmer enthusiests and have a great reputation and just expanded to a bigger location on Hargrove.
