German Performance off of Hwy 70 in Garner is the best hands down. They are much more knowledgeable and honest than any other German car mechanics out there, including the dealership.

a good friend of mine was a BMW tech for 8 years at a local dealer and quit to pursue another job, but he does side work. He does all of my stuff. He is right on the Orange County/Durham county line, and will beat just about any price you would ever see.

Another vote for Mpowered in Cary - met the owner Jordan recently, very nice guy and they know their stuff.

Hubby cannot recall the name of the shop, but it is just off Old Apex Road here in Cary -- just past Maynard. They received very good 'marks' from customers, and he was most pleased with the work he had done on his little Z3. We were surprised too that the work was done as reasonably as it had been, and the car was actually fixed. Before, it still always ran just a little rough, and no amount of attention to it seemed to make it better. The timing sensor was replaced, and did we notice the difference.

I'll see if I can find the bill, in my records somewhere!
