I searched their website saying there is none.

But somebody told me there is a "Loehmann's Plaza" in Durham. Does that mean there is a Loehmann's Store right there or it's just a shopping plaza called so?

BTW, Loehmann's sells discounted designer clothing and stuff.

Yep, there was one in Durham. I rarely go to Durham now so couldn't tell you if it's still there. A web search should give you a map.

Going to the one outside Philly with my mom (was is Bala Cynwyd?) ages ago . . the thing that stood out in my mind was the the changing room was communal. As a kid I always thought that was a little weird, but really, what's the big deal. Anyway, I don't imagine they have that any more.

Wood love to check out the one in Durham.

Actually I think the Durham one might have that type of dressing room(?). I never shopped there but my co workers did and I remember them mentioning this. I'm pretty certain is was L's dressing rm they were talking about.
That kind of dressing room was pretty common in England at one time. A little awkward trying on a bathing suit Let's just say you didn't want to be opposit someone at the wrong moment

The Loehmann's plaza was named for a Loehmann's that was there up until a few years ago (I guess around 5 years ago?), and that store shut down.

I miss it so much - it was my favorite place to shop in all of the Triangle, and I have so many great pieces that I wear that I could have never afforded at full retail. It did have the communal dressing room, but also had several private dressing booths you could use.

So, so sad it's gone. It surprised me when they closed - the store always seemed to have good traffic when I was there.

I guess that's their style. Same here in CT. Besides the communal fitting room, they do have individual ones. You can take in as many as 8 pieces.
Somehow I got a feeling that they know some people do want to show off their bodies. ^o^

OMG! I want to cry!
We are about to move to the Triangle and the only thing I miss about here (CT) is Loehmann's!

isn't Loehmann's similar to a ROSS/ TJ Maxx / Marshall's store but with a bit nicer stuff? If so, you guys might want to keep your eye open for the Nordstrom Rack coming to Durham. It will be in the shopping plaza across from Southpoint Mall in the old Linens 'n Things spot.

Mike

I think there was one on Mount Moriah rd in Durham by the Old Navy. I don't know if it is still there. I definitely remember someone mentioning this back in the day?!
