Durham's location closed back in 2007 . I guess there were just not enough "Loehmann's customers" in the area to sustain it.
And yes Loehmann's would be along the lines of a Nordstrom Rack or Daffy's or Century 21 (if you are familiar with the latter two). A couple of steps above your typical Marshall's/TJ Maxx in terms of the brands offered. Smart Bargains.com actually gets some of the product offering from Loehmanns so some of the things you would see at a Loehmanns may be on that site....if it helps.

Yep it closed a couple years ago What's crazy is it had been there forever and I always saw old ladies going in there and didn't realize what it was. Just thought it was on old ladies clothing store. Then my younger sister started shopping there and I checked it out and loved that it was actual designer clothing for cheap. Much nicer than TJ Maxx or Ross. So sad it closed shortly after "discovering" it. It was busy the few times I was in there, but maybe like me many people just didn't realize what it was.
