I have family coming to visit in April over Easter Weekend with a 2.5 yr old daughter. Since I don't have children-- I need advice as what things to do.

The last time they visited, June 2008-- she was 9mos old and they come down in during a crazy heatwave of 105+ degrees. It was so hot we couldn't take the poor child anywhere.

I've thought of Marbles and build a bear.
What other ideas do you have for me?

Thanks...

Where are you? There are lots of really fun inflatable places for kids that age. Monkey Joe's is a good one and has locations in Cary and Raleigh. Planet Child in Cary is a lot of fun, it's a smaller scale of Marbles. If the weather is good, there are lots of great parks in the area, but again, that would depend on where you are. April is also prime strawberry picking time, so that would be a ton of fun. Buckwheat Farm in Apex is my favorite. They also have animals like horses, goats, peacocks, etc. for the kids to see.

You can go strawberry picking (although easter may be a little early)
An arboretum would be a great place to take pictures and have the kids run around.
