Hey guys.. Just wondering if anyone knows of any funky townhomes/cottages for rent ITB or close to the downtown area. I know all the normal routines for looking (Craigslist, Google, etc.).. Just wondering if anyone knows of any personally they have seen or maybe a lesser known website or property management company. We are a 20 something couple, close to nightlife would be great but not a deal breaker. More so just looking for a good deal or a good place with no NCSU students barfing in the front lawn. Thanks!

I would personally recommend driving around neighborhoods branching off of Glenwood South and Five Points. Alot of folks have For Rent signs with personal numbers as sometimes they try to avoid management companies. Good luck! I'm a fellow Atlanta Transplant (been here about 9 years) as well.

Yeah I was planning on doing that this weekend when I have some time.. Just wondering if anyone knew of some websites with good postings outside of the beaten path of Craigslist. Yeah, I grew up outside of Atlanta in Gwinnett County and then moved downtown until I came here in 2006/2007. Great place but I'm enjoying the change.

there is a great duplex on mccarthy street right off of whitaker mill or alexander rd. i know the owners have lived on the street for years. they bought it and renovated it a few years back. easy 5 minute walk to lilly's or the point etc. i have lived in 5 points for years and would never consider living anywhere else in raleigh. you also might want to check out the country club apartments at the corner of fairview and oberlin. these were built in the late 40's and have a good mix of young and older folks. it is a beautiful tree lined setting. they are reasonable as well. the cottages on grant would be another choice.good luck.
