Where to get U shaped magnet for science fair project? (Raleigh: chapel, magnet schools)

My son is doing a science project & needs a large u shaped magnet to do the experiment. Anyone know where I can get one in/around Chapel Hill, Durham, even Wake co?

I did a search on google but it just gives me magnet schools.

I called both, the 1st is disconnected & the 2nd does not have them. I was thinking about the Planetarium but its close for refurb. Also called the store at the Science museum in Durham but no luck.....we should have grown seeds!

Stone's is called Stones Educational Superstore now I guess.

They have a huge one on the website but you will have to call to see what is in stock.

They had them at The Teach Me Store in north Raleigh the last time I was there. Sorry, not too close for you, but it's not too far from 540 (Capitol Blvd. exit). The Teach Me Store Educational Materials, Educational Supplies, Teaching Supplies and Teaching Tools

You have to type in horseshoe magnets. That will yield a lot of results.
