Raleigh Parks and Recreation runs a nice outdoor summer camp for special needs kids called Camp Friendly. My daughter has attended for several summers and has really enjoyed it. The counselors are mostly college age and are outstanding (and very patient). The program is available to all families with special needs, not just those who live in Raleigh.
I don't know how to write you directly, but I am moving to WCPSS and need to know where the safest affordable place to rent there might be. I have a DD child in elementary. He is going to benifit from year round school but I dont know which area in WCPSS has the best resources for a DD kid. You say that you have one, I really wanted to see if you might be able to help in this question.
