Can anyone on here suggest any golf course communities (w/a pool also) that is in a good school district? We would like to live in a planned communitiy that is family friendly. The schools are an important factor in our search. Also, we would like to buy new since my husband isn't real handy.

My kids are young, but we've been impressed with pittsboro elementary's principle. My daughter is doing well there.

Chapel Ridge has homes for sale. They have a large pool with a giant water slide. The best part about the course is member's are also members at the preserve at Jordan Lake. So basically you're a member at 2 clubs for the price of 1. $135 a month for dues.

Do you know if Chapel Ridge has many kids in the community and how the schools are?

Chapel Ridge has a lot of kids, but the neighborhood is less than 15% built out, so they are spread out. Pittsboro Elementry is good. Horton is middle is less than good, but is getting better every year because new families moving into the area are demanding it.

Woods Charter is about to have their lottery. If your thinking of moving here go to their web site and throw your name in.
