Any suggestions on hotels that have an indoor pool and would be centrally located. We prefer not to stay downtown.

We like the Embassy Suites in Cary. I believe it's known as the "airport" one - nice indoor pool, full cooked to order breakfast every day and happy hour every night. The restaurant is pretty good for dinner too.

North Raleigh Hilton, Wake Forest Rd at the beltline (440). They have an indoor pool and gym and are across from Duke Raleigh Hospital.

Embassy Suites at Crabtree. Right across from Crabtree Valley Mall. I like this location better than the North Raleigh Hilton.

Comfort Inn and Suites in Cary was a nice stay for us in December. Indoor pool, microwave, fridge, big screen TV, happy hour several nights per week, internet, self- serve type of breakfast included with good choices, nice staff and a reasonable price. A lot of business travelers stay there during the week and they offer airport shuttle... Noticed families with children more on the weekends but it was always pretty quiet, we loved it.

When we go back in a few months we will stay there again, and have our 2 older kids with us.

The Renaissance Raleigh North Hills Hotel by Marriott.

I haven't been inside yet (pics look VERY nice...see link below) but the outside is really nice and it's brand new and in the North Hills shopping center which has nice stores and restaurants. It also has an indoor pool. If I ever need a hotel for out of state guests that's where I will be making reservations :-)
