My little ones love those monster truck type shows. We will be down in the Raleigh area the week starting valentine's day. Anyone know if there's any chance we could catch one of those shows (family-friendly, little kid friendly) down there? Where should I look?

In February there will be one in February in the mountains a town called Fletcher and in Charlotte
Greensboro not to far from Raleigh has them too. The events usually about 3 months til the next one.
I only know about the truck Grave Digger because I pass its home leaving from the OBX

There are some "grass roots" events all around. South of Raleigh is Lee County Mud. I see the trucks come by on the first Saturday of every month (I'm not sure about winter, so check it out before you drive). The trucks range from some barely modified beaters that people drive in, all the way to sponsored trucks that are very awesome. Many of them fall between, and seem quite capable, insanely modified, but clearly (due to lack of major sponsors) done in someone's family hobby shop.

Here is a link to the series home page, which I believe has the 2010 schedule.

Mud Racing - Home

EDIT> Sorry, they only run from March to November, but maybe this will help you for a future date.
