Does anyone know of a tax accountant and financial planner (preferably CFP) under one roof in the CH/Durham area? They need to be able to help with current tax planning, college planning, retirement and early retirement planning, and ongoing advice on personal finance. Of course I'd get my taxes done there too.

I've found CFPs and CPAs but not someone who can do both.

Thanks.

I see financial planning on their website, but I don't see any CFP's. Can you speak directly to their financial planning acumen?

Yes, I'll send you a DM. Also, Price French in Durham, is a CFP. I have also know him for some time and used him. He is well respected for his FP skills.

Suggestion/Opinion: It can be more effective to work with both a CFP and a CPA and have them collaborate for your plan design....(two heads better than one theory). Also, this provides checks and balances and different viewpoints/expertise input into your plan, while decreasing unchecked advisor bias from any one discipline. I am a CFP and structure client advisor teams in this way, depending on which advisors a client needs.
