Agreed - definitely underwhelmed, and it seems like every time I look at the radar there is a dry pocket over Wake County. lol! But, what we did get is beautiful!

We have about 3 inches here at our house in Clayton, and it's been sleeting/snowing lightly since I got up this morning.

We've got a good amount here in Durham! I'd say 5 inches maybe? When it lets up a little we're taking the kids outside.

I wanted a foot too - I think we do have at least 5 inches in Durham! Maybe six? When my running shoe-clad foot sunk in it this a.m. it seemed pretty deep...

...now if I could just find my keys. May have dropped them in the snow while walking the dog last night. When's that snow going to melt again?

(not complaining, just want keys!)

Goldsboro, we just got ice. I'm from Idaho, this is not snow, it's ICE. It's very weird. I've never seen anything like it after having lived in Idaho, S.Korea, AND Germany. This stuff looks like what you'd get in a snow cone.

Yes, rather underwhelmed. It's still nice, though, to have a day that is completely free. Hoping that it doesn't turn more towards ice, though. That would be really bad around here. We've been pretty lucky so far.

Here in north Raleigh, we've gotten maybe 4 inches of the pellet type stuff. It looks really pretty right now.

Just wondering how are the roads are doing that were pre-treated with salt brine as opposed to roads that were not? I'm sitting this one out in North Myrtle Beach, and plan to return hopefully sometime Monday....thanks.
