There are several programs at Wake Tech that have huge waiting lists. I heard nursing has a three-year waiting list!

I'd heard that schools and colleges everywhere were crowded, so I was surprised that the course that I want to take, Camtasia, is in danger of being cancelled because there may not be enough students enrolled.

Camtasia is a software product that records on-screen activity, and you can edit the information into a video. It's used for developing e-learning and also for marketing: Camtasia Studio, TechSmith's Screen Recording Software

More employers are requiring it.

If you're interested in updating your skills, please consider signing up. It starts the first week in March, goes to May, and is held on the main campus of Wake Tech on Saturday mornings. The cost is $70.

WORD to this! I work for a major employer in RTP and we use Camtasia. It's pretty easy to learn, so I strongly suggest that you sign up for it, as learning this software will make it easier to jump to similar programs such as Captivate. It looks darn good on resumes.

Cool info Brentwood! Thanks for sharing! I forwarded it to my daughter who is almost thru with a gaming degree and to some tech friends.

i'd also heard how so many laid off ppl are going back to school and flooding the tech schools. the nursing program at WT has always had a long wait. I think ave 2-3 yrs. there was a time when a male applicant could get in sooner due to being a minority group...majority students were female and they needed more males in the field.
