Does anyone have a car repair to recommend to get tune ups/oil changes? (and that WON'T cost me an arm and a leg.) Also someone that won't take advantage of me and when I leave the car breaks down. (I have had that happen)

I've been very pleased with North Hills Exxon over the years for general car repair. They also have a sister Exxon station on Strickland Rd. beside the Char-Grill.

Thanks for the suggestion! I am looking for more of a "family" repair place....not a chain. But thanks!!!

I've used Duty Tire, which is owned by David Duty, for years. He's on Atlantic Avenue between Millbrook and Spring Forest Road. Don't let the name fool you. They do more service work then tire work.

If you have a foreign car take a hard look at Import Auto Pro in Wake Forest. Rodney is an awesome guy. I know my car (Volvo) inside and out and I can tell you the few times I had him work on it he knows his stuff. He has never ever tried to push me into doing anything however he does recommend stuff to be done. And the stuff he recommended 100% needed to be done. I did it myself, but that is besides the point.

He runs his own shop and has a true vested interest in the quality of repair work done.

I second David Duty. I've been going there for about 6 years. He is great.

I've had good luck with Brown's Alignment & Brake Service on Wake Forest Rd. Again, don't let the name fool you, they do everything.

Eastgate Shell on Wake Forest Rd is a very honest family shop that does quite a bit of serious mechanical work.
