In case you are looking for a sled, Ace Hardware on Falls of the Neuse, ph.# 790-8832, (its' in the shopping center at the corner of Spring Forest) has plenty, they had a truck load of 600 or so that just came in or was on the way. And they still had 20-25 in the store. I looked everywhere and this was the only place I found that had some so I thought I would save you some time !

The ACE in Cary was out of them this afternoon, but they said they were expecting some in "anytime between now and Saturday morning".
On a tip, I found mine at the Westover Hardware Store on Hillsborough Street next to the fairgrounds this evening. They had a TON left.

The ACE downtown at Seaboard also has them, and is probably less likely to sell out as quickly as the ones in the suburbs.......

I overheard some experienced 'snow folks' saying that the upturned lid of a trash can works very nicely, indeed.

Some of us Southerners have little experience with the stuff, you know. When my daughter was 3, back around 1990 or so, we had a record snowfall down in Wilmington, and were staying at the grandparents' house. Their home had a porch with a roof just under the front upstairs windows. When the snowfall began, the little princess looked out, and said, "Oh look, Nani! Snow!" We all went to bed, and the next morning, she runs to the window, looks out, and exclaims, "Uh oh, Nani. Too much snow!"

Oh, but I am hoping we don't see too much snow tonight and tomorrow. A few inches would be 'pretty,' and give the kids something to play in, wouldn't it?

Did you catch the price? I may try the Ace in North Wake Forest.

Thanks, gubben1! Just picked one up.

darman1484, They had several different kinds at the Ace on Falls of Neuse. They ranged in price from about $14 for a plastic saucer on up. I got a sturdy hard plastic one for $28 including tax. They had 2 REAL Flexible Flyers left when I was there, but they were $79.99. A little more than I was willing to pay.

Happy sledding tomorrow!

I was just at the ACE Downtown, and as of 11:30, they had a truck in Richmond picking up 200 sleds, and should be at the store ~ 2pm.

CPA on Tap ~ sorry to hear they had already sold out. When I was there yesterday the girl made it seem like they would have enough for everyone, no problem, I guess the under estimated how many people needed sleds
