I can't sleep with all this sleet pinging on the roof.

^The snow is under the sleet. Getting compacted down.

The sleet woke me up several times during the night as well - very noisy! I don't mind though, since it keeps the snow accumulation down!

We got six inches at least (East Durham--Granville line). Now we're getting sleet/freezing rain. I heard some ominous loud pops off in the distance...unless someone is out hunting in this mess, sounds like a couple transformers just went. I'm filling jugs and tubs as fast as I can...

Did manage to get one decent shot to share:

A little note from the NC Highway Patrol:
"ACCUMULATIONS OF SNOW AND SLEET ARE SIGNIFICANTLY
IMPACTING TRAVEL ACROSS THE WARNING AREA. HIGHWAY PATROL IS
REPORTING OVER 600 VEHICLE ACCIDENTS STATEWIDE. TEMPERATURES ARE
EXPECTED TO REMAIN WELL BELOW FREEZING THROUGH MIDDAY MONDAY
ALLOWING ROAD SURFACES TO REMAIN VERY ICY."

Are Wal-Mart and Blockbuster likely to be open today? Don't want to brave the trip just to find them closed!
