I know my mom loves the little baking supply store where we live (ct). It sounds like it might be a good business opportunity for someone to start one in the Triangle!

Anyone? I refuse to believe no one in the Triangle bakes.

Wanna Leave Pencitucky,
The CLayton Paper company is really good. The address is 114 West Main Street. It's located in downtown Clayton. I do custom made cakes, cookies and candy and I have found that they pretty much carry everything. What they don't have she will order for you. The prices are good too!

Where can you find bakery supplies like marzipan, fondant, etc. Is there no bakery or professional food supply shop?

the place in Clayton sells Fondant but not sure about marzipan. They do have a big selection of professional baking supplies. I use them all the time.

Humor aside, that's actually a great idea! Though, if he ever wants to relinquish the position... of taste taster, that is... then I'm on board!

I bake as well and I found NC Paper Company in Clayton...They have EVERYTHING...including wilton stuff. They even have bags of cake filling, boxes (although I like getting my boxes from If it's Paper in Raleigh. I think the paper co. in Clayton is a bit pricey, it's ancient, but you can get your supplies there. AND even if what you need is not in stock, they will order for you.

Directions/phone number?
Hi! I really want to check out the Clayton paper company that you are all speaking of. Can any one provide me with a phone number? I can't find them in the yellow pages. Directions would be great too. (I'm coming from Holly Springs). Thanks!

I tried looking for this place on line a while back. Here is what I came up with, but I never called or went by there. I still have had no luck finding anywhere in the Raleigh area. I just stock up when I travel to Virginia Beach; they have two large baking stores.
