That's why they have speedometers fitted - so you do realize how fast you are going
wow - your timing couldn't be any worse. The N and O just ran a week long expose on how lenient some speeders were being treated. Read the N and O's article and you will have a great idea of what your options are

You can always use "prayer for judgment continued' which is essentially a get out of jail free card that every household can use once only every 3 years
You can hire a lawyer who will charge about $150 and hope he can plead your case down to 'improper equipment' which doesn't effect your insurance. This is one of the loopholes the state will be tightening up on. Wake county already doesn't allow this plea
You can line up at court all day and the DA will probably knock your speed down to ' under 9 MPH over the speed limit'. If you have no pre cons for speeding this won't effect your insurance.
If you plead guilty as charged you will get hammered on your insurance for the next 3 years
If I were you i'd try the prayer for judgment and keep my foot off the gas OR go to court - plead under 9 mPH and keep the PFJC up your sleeve for the next time
Your case - speeding above 55 MPH carries a 3 point penalty = 65% insurance rise for 3 years
