But, it is turning over to rain.

I really don't want 1/2" of ice. I remember 2002 too well.

It's not doing anything at all anymore on my side of Cary. But it looks like this is the lull before the bigger part of the storm. Kewl.

And...all of my neighbors (including my husband) are outside drinking rum laced hot chocolate and pelting our children with ginormous snowballs.

We haven't had any rain in CH - getting another good dose of snow right now. The rain is bad news - it will wash the salt right off the roads before the heavy snow comes to you.

They're saying snow until about 1pm Saturday. We still have it coming down in Garner. Not looking forward to sleet and freezing rain. This is good snowball snow!

According to the Weather Channel, "Blizzards are characterized by low temperatures (usually below 20F) and accompanied by winds that are at least 35 mph or greater, there must also be sufficient falling and/or blowing snow in the air that will frequently reduce visibility to 1/4 mile or less for a duration of at least 3 hours."

So maybe not a blizzard, but it's still coming down here in Wake Forest and looks like it will be for some time. Pretty cool, since not too many of us have to work tomorrow. For those who do, I hope you have a 4WD vehicle or know someone who does.
