Yep!

All I care about is being able to get my next batch of food (and chocolate! I don't have any chocolate! Emergency!).

My pets have fully stocked pantries, so they're good for the next few weeks, and as long as I have food and power, I'm good.

Other than some 'cabin fever' I have no complaints at all. Esp. when I have to work from home because I simply can't make it into the office due to road conditions.

I'm not going anywhere today and didn't yesterday. My feeling is - yes, the temps are going up, and they will go down overnight so it re-freezes. It doesn't HAVE to be the black ice situation, so why not just get the equipment and the salt? It's not going to break the state budget (county budget?) - so why not? In the meantime, surely there will be some nasty accidents this morning.

Also, not everyone CAN stay home. My neighbor is a nurse who drove to Duke yesterday afternoon in her corolla.

Like I said, I'm not going anywhere.

But to say that all hospital personnel should get a hotel room is, well, ludicrous.

Sorry guys - the natives know more about some things...but us Yankees know snow. Sometimes we're right about something

Ex-yankee. 7th winter here.
I stay home.
Happily.
I used to get grief from my employer for being 1/2 hour late when there was 2FEET of snow.
What is so important that you have to go running around?
Just Chill.

Right...cuz snow and ice are so different south of the Mason Dixon line.

This whole anti-transplant sentiment? SO tiresome.
