I am new to the area and am looking for reccomendations for reputable places/ stylists to get my hair colored and cut. Anywhere in the Raleigh, Durham, Cary area would be great.

Thanks for the help in advance.

LizMichaels Hair Studio in downtown Apex. Check out the reviews on citysearch. It is a wonderful salon with reasonable prices. They also offer discounts to first time clients.

I agree with slynn, I have been to LizMichaels and liked it. Although, I would have to say J&F Gemelli in Cary (Davis and High House, Stone Creek--NOT the other locations) has by far the most talented staff of hair stylists. I have also noticed over the years that they seem to have no turnover. They added a few people when they moved into the larger space but the new people seem good as well. They are pricey but very, very good.

I used Sarah when she was at Liz Michaels in Apex. She's now down the street at Headcase in Apex. She does great cuts, styles and color!

I go to Brie at Jay Andrews in Apex/Beaver Creek (the bottom portion near Borders). I think she's great and I am not good about knowing what will look great on me....and I can't tell you how many compliments I've gotten since she started doing my hair!

I used to be a former client of J&F Gemelli (the one in Stone Creek). Never got the right color, had the worst haircut of my life (with one of the "Master" stylists) and left poor each time.

Ditto - worst haircut and color in my life!! Also with one of the "master stylists"!!

slynn - you used to rave about Salon Suzanne Marie in Apex...what happened? Curious because I almost went there. I'm currently going to stylist in Durham near work and am very happy.

The stylist I went to left and I starting seeing a different girl who now works at LizMichaels.

I would recommend Salon Kroma near Regency and Lockmere. Ask for Blake.
