Hi guys I am attending graduate school at ECU for my masters in teaching. I am looking Cary Apex and Holly Springs as possible places to relocate when the program is done and look for employment. I was wondering if anyone could share their personal opinions and view points of the three areas and maybe compare/ contrast them.
I would like to know which cities are less expensive with apartments and condos
Which cities have better dining and entertainment options
Which cities are safer and more relaxed
Which cities have friendlier people
Also please tell me any flaws that you have about any of the cities, as it is always good to see both view points.

Apex, Cary, and HS would all be equally safe and relaxed. We are basically all joined at the hip. You would get a little more for your money in HS as it is more up and coming while Cary and Apex are much longer established, leading to higher current property values. Of course Apex and Cary have more dining options as a result, but they are literally 5-10 minutes up the road from HS. I grew up in Cary, and currently live in HS. I do not think you can go wrong in any of the towns you mentioned.
We moved from VA to Raleigh in March of last year. While our home in VA was on the market, we rented a house downtown and after our home sold, we purchased a home in Apex. We've lived in Apex since December and LOVE IT! We're just 5 minutes from my oldest child's school, although he doesn't start there until the summer (year round starts in July). We are enjoying the quiet here and where we live, our lot is semi-wooded so we enjoy watching the deer every afternoon. I'm not too sure how much I will love them when they are eating my plants this summer but they are pretty nonetheless. I can say that we much prefer living "out here" than downtown. My husband works downtown and the commute isn't that bad for him, so that's a plus, too! Good luck with your move.

Well, the first thing you should know about Cary, Apex, and Holly Springs is that none of them are cities!
Secondly, the demographics are pretty similar, so friendlier people/safer/relaxed is about the same among the three.
Also, do be aware that in general, the more dining/entertainment options + safety you have, the higher prices tend to be in housing (of course), so "less expensive" usually correlates negatively with the other two factors.
