Dispose of a mattress and box springs
I live in Apex and was wondering how I would go about disposing of a twin mattress and box spring.

Unless it's totally ruined and unusable, post it on craigslist in the 'free' section and I'll bet you'll have it gone by tomorrow.

Or if you want to toss it, take it to the landfill off Hwy 55 (Old Smithfield Road)

We live in Raleigh and needed to dispose of a queen size mattress and box spring a couple weeks ago. All we had to do was call our trash service and schedule for them to pick it up. There was no additional fee.
You might want to call your trash collection service to see if they offer a similar service?

Thanks for asking. At least this is one mattress that won't end up on at the end of a dead end or on the side of the road.

Craigslist is the best way just be forewarned you will get hammered with responses, I swear there are people that sit on there and hit F5 every 30 seconds

I would just put it in the free section with the street name and say to come and get it. Don't call, Don't email. I will pull the add when it is gone.
