Default "Decidedly Durham" -- video on Durham life

Hey all,

I've stumbled across a video on Apple's iTunes that is worth a watch if you want to learn more about Durham. It's produced by Duke Law as a video introducing Durham (probably to prospective law school students) but it really does a good job of demonstrating the good things happening in the Bull City.

You'll need iTunes on your computer to watch this video. If you have it installed, visit the link titled "OK" below, or go to itunes.duke.edu, enter iTunes, and go to the Duke Law section.

OK

Thanks for this! I had found similar videos for other areas in the triangle but hadn't seen anything on Durham!
I feel so fortunate to be relocating when there is so much info available long distance!

Wow! Awesome video. Thanks for sharing

I recommend downloading it. It got stuck in a spot when I tried to straight watch it.

Oh I forgot to mention my favorite part was where they kept switching back and forth between the Magnolia restaurant and the other one (didn't catch the name) that has southern foods. So it would be "filet mignon in a froo froo sauce" which would cut to "sweet potato fries, pecan pie, hushpuppies" which would cut to "nine varieties of tomatoes garnished with goat cheese" which would cut to "pulled pork, pork ribs..." Hehe. Both places sounded delicious!

The other place was the Q Shack. Both menus did sound VERY yummy!

Thanks BCR for posting this. Awesome video. Pretty cool to see some of the areas that we visited on the video.

Great video.

And I truly believe the "stumbled across a video" line.
Sheesh...I "stumbled" around with downloading iTunes for about 20 minutes with several cracks at the Duke site to get to the video.

But... in the end it was worth the effort...

Glad folks liked it.

Believe it or not, I *did* just happen to stumble across the vid! One of my staff was involved in the redesign of Duke's presence on iTunes and I was looking through the new site once it went live to the public; that's when I came across the file. Needless to say, I was pretty psyched to find it.

Great video! Thanks for sharing BCR! I can't wait to try both the Magnolia Grill and the Q Shack. And it was great getting a small glimpse at The Regulator. I'm looking forward to browsing on a Sunday afternoon!

BTW here is a direct link for the movie if you have problems finding it.
