Hi. I live near McGregor West; I used to live in AZ and was used to having a pool right in our neighborhood. I have a 2 year old and a baby due in May. I am looking for somewhere convenient to take my little ones for a quick swim this summer. Thanks for any help.

If you don't want to join a pool (e.g. the YMCA in Cary or Lifetime Fitness) then the closest pay-per-use outdoor pools to you are the Raleigh City Pools, particularly Lake Johnson and Ridge Road. I believe both have spraygrounds, which are great with that age. City of Raleigh | Seasonal Pools - Hours of operation (http://www.raleigh-nc.org/portal/portal/server.pt/gateway/PTARGS_0_2_306_209_0_43/http%3B/pt03/DIG_Web_Content/category/Leisure/Parks_and_Facilities/Swimming_Pools/Cat-PG-2006130-172143-Seasonal_Pools.html - broken link)

If you do want to join a pool, Lifetime Fitness is probably closest to you.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll look at the City of Raleigh as I am looking for an outdoor pool. I toured the YMCA in Cary this past August and it looked so so crowded. Guess I best get used to that.

You should also consider the Kraft Family Y off of Holly Springs Road. Less crowded, brand new.
